Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety as the actress who starred in Fox's House medical series. Raised in Wayne in conservative Jewish tradition, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying acting at the Tisch School of the Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the New York club scene. Her performances were so good that even the local press took note. She then merged her talent and fame with her writing and composing skills to create a show called Positive Me. The first time she was hired, she got her first position on MTV as the anchor of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. The actress began appearing in film and television productions after the series ended. Initially, she was in smaller roles.
